Kylie Austin is a Calgary-based country-pop singer-songwriter who writes songs for the people who laugh through the hard stuff. Blending life's messy moments with a country twist, she has a knack for turning heartbreak, hope, and everyday experiences into songs that feel like late-night conversations with an old friend. Whether she's singing about family, love, or finding your footing through life's biggest changes, her music reminds listeners that even the hardest seasons deserve a soundtrack.
Her heartfelt storytelling has earned her a 97 South Songwriter Contest win, Emerging Artist recognition, performances at the World Women's Curling Championship, and interviews with both CJWE 88.1 and CJSW 90.9 FM. Kylie has also had the opportunity to write and learn alongside Grammy-nominated songwriter Bonnie Baker and CCMA Award winner Aaron Goodvin, continuing to develop a voice that is both honest and unmistakably her own.
Beyond the stage, Kylie is passionate about building community within Alberta's music scene. Through Row 13 Productions, in collaboration with Peach Jam Records, she independently created and produced the sold-out songwriter series Shut Up & Listen, bringing artists and audiences together through intimate listening-room experiences centered on authentic storytelling and meaningful connection.
A dynamic and versatile performer, Kylie is available as a solo act, duo, or full band, delivering a mix of original music alongside crowd-favourite country and pop covers. Whether performing in a listening room, festival, brewery, wedding, or corporate event, she brings warmth, humor, and genuine connection to every stage. Audiences leave feeling lighter than when they arrived, with songs stuck in their heads and the sense that they've spent the evening with an old friend.
